Both products are good but if the manufacturer add a sim slot on the tablet it is much better and helping device. This is the main cause why these tablets is not getting good response according their advantages.

    • its better to go with funbook mcromax 6500 to 7000 range .
only one draw back battery 2800 mah . only gives you 3 hour back up.
better than hcl u1 and x1

  4. I LIKE A LOT .. A LONG TIME ME SEARCHED THIS ITEM HUGE WHEN THEY LAUNCHED

  5. Plz read full comment dont think its long so yu will not read it and it will a bad thing. I think the micromax funbook would be better. Becuz the hcl tab and micromax tab’s specifications are almost same. The hcl tab doesn’t have google app store acces but micromax tab have. Even the micromax tab has a liitle bit faster procceser than hcl but it doesn’t matter cuz micromax have 1.2 ghz, and hcl have 1ghz. And also the big thing is micromax tab is cheaper than hcl and if you preorder it on micromax’s official site U will get a intrnet dongle free i.e. Tata photon plus 3G. But always remember these two tabs doesn’t have the feature of calling and that is the biggest disadvantage of these tabs. And also the micromax tab has 1 year manufacturer’s warranty all over india.
    Thank You.

  6. Hello readers,
In Micromax tab, u can run only Tata proton dongle whereas in HCL tab all USB dongle can be connected.

    • Hi Paras,
Can we connect micromax dongle with hcl tab u1 and use airtel gprs?

    • Hey Paras,

You can use any unlocked data card dongle in Micromax funbook and use Airtel, vodafone, Reliance sim ..etc . Tata Photon plus being unlocked, it also works…..

  7. guys please do suggest me whether i should take micromax tab or wave 2? I knw this is a stupid que. One is a tab and another is a classy phone, but i even need your suggestion…i just don’t want to get bored. Waiting..tick tock :-)

  8. I think hcl battery is beter tha micromax
    Hcl 3600mh
    Micromax 2800mh
And also hcl had full usb means high speed usb support and also mini usb support dat mean 2 usb port and micromax had only mini usb which is slower that full usb 2.0

    Hi,
Wondering if anyone tried Rooting on Micromax device. Another piece of information required is – if the stylus pen works fine on the tablet.
I am considering using the device as digital backboard.
Your input/ feedback will be appreciated
